Most of you may know that our owner, Bill Harmatz, is a champion Horse Jockey in the “Sport of Kings”. Now, he has been honored as the “King of Vista Entertainment Center”. The Vista Chamber of Commerce has published an article in their Winter Edition highlighting Mr. Harmatz’s accomplishments as an entreprenuer and member.

Vista Entertainment Center is proud to host the California U.S. Bowling Congress (USBC) Pepsi District Finals for District 8 on 20-21 March, 2010. For our youth bowlers this is the gateway to championship level play. Scratch winners will advance and travel to Indianapolis, IN for USBC Jr. Gold Championships. Various places in Handicap and Scratch will also win bids to the State Championships. Good Luck & High Scores to our Youth Bowlers, Our Staff and Coaches salute you.

The Optimist Club of Carlsbad (“The Achievers”) hosted their 18th annual bowl-a-thon on Feb 4, 2010. This event helps raise funds for their youth programs. This year, they were able to forward $2,000 in support of their youth.

Junior Bowlers Tour (JBT) — Last weekend, 27-28 Feb 2010, Vista Entertainment Center hosted a JBT Tournament. The Event was highly successful and introduced the Sport of Bowling on the Junior level to some of our local youth. The JBT champions are awarded scholarship money in addition to the usual trophies and plaques, and perform at the BEST levels of sportsmanship found today.
